That is exactly what this vacuum is. It’s powerful and sucks up a ton of the new carpet fuzz. It is heavy but since I only have an apartment, that hasn’t been a problem. And on non-carpeted floors, the dirt blows back at your feet and shins since there is no roller shut off. I found that using one the the brush attachments is the best way to clean my bathroom and kitchen floors since those areas are small.
